FAQs

How do I commission you?

Please get in touch via email or message me on Instagram or Facebook. If you want to go ahead, you pay for your commission upfront via the Store section of this website. If you have a custom total, I'll send you an invoice.

Commissions won't progress unless payment is received. There’s often a waiting list of a few weeks before I can start on your piece. If you need your artwork faster, I can sort that out for you if you let me know.

The next thing I need from you is reference photos of what you or the person you want me to illustrate looks like standing up, and a clear photo of your/their face (phone photos are absolutely fine). Please also include clear photos of any tattoos you would like me to include.

Once your initial sketch is done, I will send it to you and offer the chance for you to make any changes. Your first two rounds of adjustments are free, then I charge £40 GBP per round of adjustments. Once you’re happy with your sketch, I ink and colour it, then I send you a final preview. At this point you have another opportunity to make changes if you wish to. Once payment is settled and you're satisfied with your artwork, your files will be sent via WeTransfer.

How much do you charge?

I charge a base rate of £250.00 GBP for artwork for commercial use, and £125.00 GBP for personal use. This is based on one pin up with a simple background. Check out our Commissions section for more details.

How long does it take for you to complete a commission?

I take around one week to complete your artwork once I’m working on it. It can take me up to 6-8 weeks to get started depending on levels of demand, please contact me to check waiting times and availability.

I need my artwork as a high res vector – is that something you can do?

We don't offer vector artwork as standard, our files come as .png by default with a variety of backgrounds. We can also provide .psd, .jpg, .pdf or .tiff files. We are working on being able to offer vectors in the near future.

I’ve paid for a commission for personal use, can I share it on social media?

Yes of course, please tag me as the artist (@pillowtalkpinups).

Do you sell prints on demand?

Yes I do! Please check out the store section of this website for prints of my work (excluding commissioned work and some Draw This In Your Style challenges).

What's your return policy for physical prints?

If your print is unused and unopened, you have 30 days from date of purchase to return it for a full refund. Please email info@pillowtalkpinups.com to request a return. If your return is accepted, you will be given details as to where to send your print. You are liable for return postage. Returns received without prior approval will not be refunded.

I've changed my mind about my commission, can I get a refund?

Commission payments are non-refundable, so please be sure you want to go ahead before sending payment.

Does your price for a custom commission include a physical print and can you frame it?

I don’t include a physical print in my commission price, however you can add an A4 print to your order for £20.99 GBP plus postage and packaging. I don't provide framing services, thanks for understanding.

Do you include a choice of backgrounds with my file or do I just get the one background?

You will get a choice of backgrounds included if you have paid for artwork for commercial use. This includes the background I design for you, a solid white background, a transparent background and a version without the yellowed paper texture applied. If your artwork is for personal use, you will receive your artwork as a whole piece, without the different background options.

Can I get your artwork tattooed?

Yes of course, please send me photos and give me credit. If you can, it would be lovely if you bought a print from my shop too, as you can afford to have a tattoo done, you can most likely afford to buy a print to support my work.

I’ve seen this amazing art on the internet, can you recreate this for me with some minor changes so I can sell it?

I would rather we worked together to come up with something fresh and original, than slightly tweaked and derivative. Let’s create some pin up art unique to you and your brand rather than modifying someone else’s work.

Can I use your artwork as a reference for my own?

Yes, as long as you are respectful I don't mind. Please don’t lift from my work directly and credit me if you’re using my art in your coursework. All I ask is for proper credit if you’re inspired by my work. It's also worth noting that my work is legally copyrighted and all rights are reserved.

Do you share my artwork first or do I?

I will always wait for you to share your pin up first before sharing it myself, so it is exclusive for you to debut. If you choose not to share your artwork I won't share it unless I have your permission to do so.
